Framing
Framing is the tactic of using a natural object to outline or essentially frame an object. The photographer uses his/her natural surroundings to enhance a specific object, frame's can consist of bushes, trees or even doorways.
When framing, it is better to use a light colour for the focal point so the viewers eye doesn't focus on the frame itself. Upon framing you can even blur the frame out and have the focal point crystal clear. In these examples below i have used the technique called framing using benches and trees.

Example One
In this photo, a student is being framed by a small wooden table. The dark frame highlights the light background and in-turn brings out the student. Also due to contrast with the sky the focal point can change to the dark trees in the background.
Example Two
In this example of the framing technique, the barbed wire garden area is the main focal point. The two gray, brown trees frame the garden area and extend the focal point in to the trees. The trees have been blurred to focus on the other surrounding area; creating contrast.
